35 seconds to Glory

chug

It was quite the event, the whole school turned out to watch 30 sorority girls chug a pitcher of beer or in some cases like Sarah – champagne

At stake were pride, bragging rights and completion of one of the events that make up the “full Aggie experience”

My little nipper was able to guzzle her allotment of alcoholic beverage (I believe it was Don Bubba Perignon) in 35 seconds catching her ring (previously dropped to the bottom of the pitcher) between her teeth. This picture is actually a reenactment after the queasy victory burp.friendsc

There was much cheering from the crowd and a good time was had by all, even those girls who immediately ran to the small patch of grass, hands on knees and gave back some of their hard swallowed libation.  It was funny to see the people rushing over to them to capture the event on film.  I myself used a telephoto lens. I spared you the details but look at the lower right side of the poster picture. gotit

After such an event, you can imagine how proud we all must be.

Comments:
haha, wow, congratulations. In celebration I'll have to down a pitcher tonight...wait I was going to do that anyway :)

yes, but in 35 sec? That takes some motivation. What will you drop in the bottom of your pitcher?

35 seconds IS very impressive I must say. I have never been good at chugging beer, its far too cold (yeah yeah, call me what you will). In my own defense I said "down" a pitcher, not "chug" :). As far as what to put in the pitcher, good question. I only ring I have is my Grandfathers Air Force ring, but I'm not comfortable doing anything with that ;). How about I just drink a 6-pack at a leisurely pace while playing some Left 4 Dead?

Thank GOODNESS she had the wherewithall to don her pearls.

Even though she was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Sarah is a Texan and an Aggie through and through. Of COURSE she wore her pearls! And when I asked her if she had to throw-up she responded, "No Ma'am!" like the southern belle she is.

My pitcher had pearls around it too!

Le CLASSY!

We should also mention I was 2nd out of 33. And we all know first place poured the whole thing down the front of her.

Do you see my eyes in that first picture? They are open. That is focus.

PS - Thanks Mommy!
