{"id":942,"date":"2011-07-20T08:59:48","date_gmt":"2011-07-20T13:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thechristys.net\/?p=942"},"modified":"2011-07-20T09:04:03","modified_gmt":"2011-07-20T14:04:03","slug":"relaxing-in-panama-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechristys.net\/?p=942","title":{"rendered":"Relaxing in Panama City"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"http:\/\/thechristys.net\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/panamahotel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"display: inline; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"panamahotel\" src=\"http:\/\/thechristys.net\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/panamahotel_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"panamahotel\" width=\"774\" height=\"595\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"2\" width=\"781\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"779\" valign=\"top\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Last weekend Linda and I flew east to attend Linda\u2019s nephew\u2019s wedding in Alabama (more on that in the next post).\u00a0 We took a couple of extra days and went to Panama City.<\/p>\n<div>Linda found us a really nice place to stay called the Marriott Bay Point Resort.\u00a0 One of our favorite features of the resort was the GIANT boardwalk that went from the hotel pool to a restaurant, private beach and boat rental dock.\u00a0 In the picture we are standing on the boardwalk looking back to the resort.\u00a0 Because of this amenity i <em>had<\/em> to take a fishing rod.<\/div>\n<div>We took a boat to Shell Island where there are no hotels, no cars, not even any houses, just beach and ocean.\u00a0 We also went to St. Andrews State Park which was the nicest beach state park we have been to.<\/div>\n<div>Of course there was Sonny\u2019s BBQ and a little breakfast place \u2013 Andy\u2019s Flour Power Cafe which had fabulous food and excellent service.\u00a0 Ask Linda about her Surf n Turf omelet or frittata.\u00a0 I can vouch for the French Toast.<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"779\" valign=\"top\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">One evening we took a ride over to St. Joe, a small town on the coast where Florida panhandle begins.\u00a0 It was an interesting place, I would like to go back sometime.\u00a0 The weather was great and we had a wonderful time.<\/p>\n<div>The second picture shows me fishing off the resort\u2019s private beach with the State park in the background<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/thechristys.net\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/panamafishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"display: inline; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"panamafishing\" src=\"http:\/\/thechristys.net\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/panamafishing_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"panamafishing\" width=\"780\" height=\"578\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Last weekend Linda and I flew east to attend Linda\u2019s nephew\u2019s wedding in Alabama (more on that in the next post).
