. . . we apparently have a huge following in China. That’s right, those crazy lovers of all things Christy are spending hours (all hours of the day and night) constantly reading and re-reading our site. Just by coincidence I am also starting to get spammed by nonsense comments with scary links posted on stories that are several years old. Call me paranoid, but I don’t think they really care about my PC upgrade circa 2006 or a pretty good bread recipe. Hard to believe, right?
How do I know they are from China you ask? Well, I found this cool little plug in that allows me to see who has visited my site, I can click on a person and see where the IP address is coming from. It’s not 100% accurate but it is probably around 90% on target. After a little research, I found that China is the source of most of the worlds cyber-nastiness (malware, viruses, spam . . .) If you ask Google, you will find they think it’s even state sponsored sometimes.
So, I will see what I can do to curb the crap. I have tried to leave the site as open as possible to make it easy for people to comment. We will see. I am sure there is some guy in Shenzhen making millions off all my sagely and witty posts (and your insightful comments as well!).
