That’s right, the “UN climate brain trust” who have been attending the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Cancun Mexico for the last 2 weeks have signed a petition circulated by some college students working with CFACT (a free market environmental group) banning dihydrogen monoxide. Let me break that down for you – dihydrogen = 2 hydrogens = H2 and monoxide = 1 oxygen = O and you get . . . H2O
These are the people who work on the Kyoto Climate Treaty and other proposed legislation. The attendees were told that dihydrogen monoxide was a dangerous substance which contributes to the greenhouse effect, is the major substance in acid rain, and is fatal if inhaled, which of course is all true. According to the CFACT blog “almost every delegate that collegian students approached signed their petition to ban that all too dangerous substance “ of course last year, the people at the conference were treated to a scare video showing a girl running away from torrential floods and tornados. They fell for that one too.
Apparently this “trick” is 20 years old and they have been duping pseudo-scientists for years. Dearth Day anyone?
